WOW, are you an amazingly talented bunch! There are fourteen area schools represented, and a more impressive group of enthusiastic singers, actors & dancers would be hard to find!
There’s good news and there’s sad news. The good: there were over 60 people who auditioned to be in this year's play! The not so good: unfortunately that’s more than our camp can accommodate. Therefore we were unable to offer everyone a part.If your name is not on this list, we apologize and please do come back and audition next year! (Note: If you auditioned and were not selected, but are interested to be considered should openings become available, please email the director before May 16th.)
The list is organized alphabetically by last name, with roles that have been assigned so far. Some speaking/solo parts remain to be cast during the camp, plus there are chances for us to "create our own lines" where the dueling families trade retail-based insults. We can't wait to see your creativity flourish!
Kinsmen (Capulet and Montague alike), along with other cast members, will forsooth make merry in various musical numbers. You'll enjoy being on-stage for our opening "Iambic Pentameter" fantasmagorical welcome through duels and love sonnets, to THE balcony scene and wedding, and on to the not-so-deadly finish. You will love it!This is another musical where there are “no bad parts” because everyone is on stage a lot, and the smaller roles / choruses have great jokes, songs or characters. What fun we will have!
So, you ask, what do I do now? After kicking up those futuristic flopping feet there are three important things to do:
1. Email Beth Riley (director@adventuresinacting.com) right away to confirm you will be in the camp (or to let us know you've discovered it won't work for you this year ... how sad!). That's very important so we can let others join the fun if there are spaces available.
2.Mark your calendar for the Mandatory Meeting of all Cast Members = Wednesday, May 21st at 6:30pm. We'll meet in the Ashbrook School Theater to get acquainted, go over basics, complete registration forms, collect payments, take costume measurements ... and give out scripts, music CDs AND t-shirts!
3. Mark your calendar for all the CampDates and three Performances!
