We expect the best from our participants.  As such, everyone will follow the familiar guidelines:

  • Be Safe
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Respectful

Participants’ safety is vitally important, as is the safety and maintenance of our host facility.  Our goal is to produce a quality theatrical learning experience for everyone, culminating in fabulous public performances. 

Behavior Policy

Adventures In Acting is a time for serious learning and involvement in the art of theater.  All participants are expected to abide by the rules of both Adventures In Acting and our host facility, Ashbrook Independent School.  Participants must follow leaders’ instructions.

 

Inappropriate behaviors such as uncooperation, disregard for instructions, running in the building or any type of fighting will be dealt with in the following manner:

  1. Verbal warning
  2. Verbal warning and call to parents
  3. Dismissal from camp

More serious infractions might deviate from this sequence at the discretion of the Director.

In case of dismissal, there will be no refund of the registration fee.

 

In case of Accidents

A First-Aid kit will be maintained and kept in a central location.

Staff members are certified in First-Aid.

  1. Evaluate situation
  2. Administer first aid as needed.
  3. Call ambulance / 911 if needed.
  4. Notify camp director (if not already involved)
  5. Notify parents.

In case of Illness

  1. Participants should be kept home if they are contagious
    1. Symptoms include: runny nose, fever, vomiting within 24 hours
  2. Participants will be sent home if they become sick while at camp.
